      Hi Presbytera.

      1) The zo is flat there on the way down. It just happens very quickly.

      2) At the tempo that one usually chants the Aposticha, you aren’t going to hear an attraction here.

      3) Vou is just natural there.

Hi Evangelia. Follow what’s in the notation and the recordings. Sorry about the confusion.

Hey Colin. I would say it’s more about quality than being louder. It gives the music a certain “pulse” when you emphasize the downbeat a bit more. I think this recording illustrates the pulse pretty nicely even though it’s in Greek. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1Z0hzJL8j8&list=PLBYn5XQoh6wEiLaePHlqWjf_LTi4r1D4l&index=27

Next week, week 3 of the course, my 7 PM eastern session will meet on Thursday evening instead of Wednesday evening to hopefully avoid services that people may have for the Ascension.

Christ is risen! On account of our roster size for this class we are adding two additional zoom sessions each week to help people spread out a bit:

Wednesday, 9 – 9:30 pm ET (with Kamal)
                Thursdays, 1:30 – 2 pm ET (Dina)

Hi Demiana. There is no length requirement for the reflection. Just keep in mind it is for your benefit and not just a requirement to work on.

Hi Connor. Sorry for my delay. That Zo will be flat. We have not encountered that thesis before, you are correct. Take a listen to the accompanying recordings as well.
