									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>1st—This interpretation seems fairly simple, I’m sure much more subdued than he could be, presumably partially because he’s chanting with a choir. It’s simple, but still sounds grand.</p>
<p>2nd— He’s using more ornate ornamentation, following the exact notes less closely, which he can do since he’s chanting solo.</p>

He is louder and gives more emphasis on downbeats. It’s more obvious in certain places because of the space between notes. His ornaments effortlessly fit within the rhythm.</p>
<p>Second recording:<br />
This one has more of an obvious, distinct, punching pulse. I think the beat is more emphasized and distinct because the ison is also chanting words.</p>

(Previously we just chanted the communion hymn after reading the prayer.)</p>

<p>-I prefer that &#8220;Liturgy begins when orthros ends,&#8221; i.e. no time-cutoff for orthros.</p>
