[Emilio Brambila]

Hi everyone! My name is Emilio, though many also know me by my baptismal name Païsios. I live in Charlotte, NC, and I attend and chant at St. Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church. I have the privilege of chanting with Samuel Herron, who orders our services almost entirely through liturgical books – save a doxastikon or apolytikion here and there – so I am sure I have already picked up a lot by observation, though I have not yet learned this topic formally and in its entirety.
Since I have been becoming more competent as a chanter, I feel there is a growing chance that Sam may ask me to lead a service he can’t be present for, and I would like to be best prepared for when that happens. This is what I hope to gain from this course.
Also, since I am out of town this week and will be attending a pilgrimage in the second half of October, I will likely miss some of the Zoom sessions. Glad to be a part of this course!
