This course serves as a systematic primer in the theoretical and practical aspects of 2nd Mode.  This mode will be studied within the context of the Anastasimatarion; that is, the Resurrectional hymns of Saturday night Vespers and Sunday morning Orthros.  Upon completing this course, a student will be proficient in the heirmologic and sticheraric forms of 2nd Mode.

Prerequisites: Successful completion of the mid level Octoëchos classes (Oct 208, 201, 205, 203 & 207) or instructor approval.

Class Dates: Term 2, 2024 (May 13 – June 30)

Thursdays, 5:45 – 6:15 pm ET

Thursdays, 10:30 – 11 pm ET
Fridays, 2:30 – 3 pm ET
