In this online webinar, Fr. Romanos Karanos, professor of Byzantine Chant at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, will discuss the art of intonation that is used for the proclamation of the Epistle and Gospel readings.  Fr. Romanos will introduce and teach, with examples, the concepts and principles of proper intonation, including the scale(s) used for intoning, navigation of punctuation and grammar within the sacred text, modulations, and other concepts that are essential for mastering the art of intonation.
