Festal Menaion 304: March 25th and August 6th
This course is a systematic study of the hymnography of Vespers, Orthros, and Divine Liturgy of the feasts of the Annunciation of the Theotokos (March 25th) and the Transfiguration of Christ (August 6th). The course focuses on the performance aspects of singing hymns in the short sticheraric genre such as vocal quality, interpretation, rhythm and tempo, modal theory, and more.
Class Dates: 3rd Term 2021 – August 30 – October 17, 2021
Live Practice Sessions: Mondays 7:30-8 PM ET, Wednesdays 9:30-10 PM ET, Thursdays 6:30-7 PM ET
