        Hi, Kamal or any professor,

Could someone point me to a graphic explanation of how the fthora works to “corrupt” the scale/mode? I discussed this with Kamal a couple times but am still not sure I understand it completely. Specifically, we were talking about Pl.1st with Ke functioning as Pa. Just to give you an idea of how I’m thinking about it. When I do the resurrectional evlogitaria, using western notation in DCS, I think if it as being in A minor (naturally, since the base is on A in the western notation). I’ve never sung a Pl.1st hymn off of DCS where I couldn’t just “feel” the scale and it sounds like a lot of them have this Pa fthora. So the fthora doesn’t really mean anything to me practically yet. Is that just because I haven’t done hymns complicated enough or great enough in range to realize the “corruption” of the scale? Sorry for the lengthy post.
