I have a quick (probably not very important) orthographic question. I noticed on the score for 1st mode LIHC there is a psefiston on the very last petaste (when singing “me”); however, it is only followed by one “down” symbol then an ison. I thought the psefiston was only used when there were 2 or more “down” symbols following it. Is it because the melody goes down again after the ison? Does it imply a different kind of ornament than just the petaste itself?
